John Bjoraker

Born and raised in Saint Paul, I am proud to be a lifelong resident, educator, and leader deeply rooted in our public schools. My journey in education spans more than 17 years, shaped by classrooms, families, and neighborhoods that reflect the heart and strength of our city.

I grew up on the East Side.  Starting my educational journey at Parkway Elementary, moving to Battle Creek Middle School and then graduating from Harding High School, where I learned firsthand the power of strong, caring educators and supportive school communities.

Those experiences inspired me to return to education as a teacher, an assistant principal, and later as a principal — serving in schools that represent the diversity, resilience, and brilliance of our community.

Throughout my career, I have worked in partnership with families, educators, and students to create safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments. I believe every child deserves access to high‑quality education, the chance to discover their strengths, and the support to reach their full potential.

My commitment has always been simple:

Lead with experience. Listen with heart.
